Victorian Appreciation Day!

On this date in 1837, 18 year-old Victoria ascended to the throne of England after the death of her uncle William. Her reign remains the longest in British history.

Also, it heralded the beginning of the Victorian era which is, you know, the best invention since cannolis.

So thank you, Victoria, for all your royal shenanigans and bringing about my favorite thing in the whole wide world, amen.
